Preparing training programs for foreign workers or courses for foreign students is not just a matter of translating the curriculum into English. The diagram below provides a visual image of the process to modify, or convert, a Customer Service training course for foreign workers.  It incorporates key cultural insights from the workers own country with cultural understanding of Western customer Service principles, then integrates these into the core curriculum.  Notice the underlying (pink) foundation of this approach is based on mastery learning. This model provides both theory and ample opportunities to to practice and masters skills needed.
